Local London is a partnership of nine London boroughs in the north east and south east of the capital. We’re a champion for the sub-region to ensure it benefits from current and emerging opportunities.

About Local London

Our Ambitions

We are ambitious about achieving inclusive and sustainable growth. We want everyone across the sub-region to feel the benefits.

Skills and employment

Much of our work focusses on ensuring local people have the skills they need to access quality employment opportunities in the sub-region and beyond.

This includes bringing employers and the education sector together to help people get the skills they need for today's workplaces. We also support people into work through our major programmes such as the Work and Health Programme, No Wrong Door, and Connect to Work.

Transport and digital infrastructure

This is the fastest growing part of London, with huge investment potential.

We are calling for greater investment in transport and digital infrastructure to help our boroughs achieve sustainable and inclusive growth.

Business Engagement

We are working with large and small businesses that want to become active players in the fastest growing part of the capital.

We are connecting employers with today and tomorrow's workforce, championing infrastructure investment, and ensuring skills training meets business needs.

Young People

We want young people to have the best careers education and experiences so they can make informed choice post-16.

We match businesses and schools to ensure careers education is dynamic and meaningful. Our team work with over 97% of mainstream and special education secondary schools in our sub-region.

We're ambitious for this part of London.

“Working with Local London helps Government understand the challenges of Levelling Up in London and in North East London. Having access to good data sources via the partnership has helped our three boroughs successfully make the case for UK Shared Prosperity Funding which will make a difference to our communities and businesses in the Upper Lee Valley.”

Will Teasdale, Director: Area Regeneration Delivery, London Borough of Waltham Forest.

“My advisor Nicola has been brilliant, she listened to my needs and wants as a job seeker and tailored jobs that were suitable for me. Nicola helped me with my CV, job applications, mock interviews, and problem solving...I would not have got this job without my advisor, I am so happy.”
