Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring this website can be used effectively by all users, and have made our best efforts to ensure that the core content of sites using this service is accessible.

We are aware some of our resources may not meet the required standards yet and are working on this as a matter of priority. Please feel free to reach out if you would like materials in a different format. We will continue reviewing and improving, and welcome feedback should you spot areas where we fall short.

Our aim is to:

  • deliver the same information and the same general functionality to all users regardless of the platform used to access them
  • support multi-modal access (e.g. text equivalents of video/audio)
  • facilitate customisation (e.g. freedom to apply user stylesheets)

We use automated tools to help identify potential accessibility problems with the website. We follow good practice where it exists, for example:

  • ensuring that alternative text exist for images
  • that page templates are well-structured for navigation
  • that functionality does not depend on use of a mouse

Whilst we believe the website templates to be broadly accessible, the accessibility of individual pages will depend in part in the efforts taken by their publishers, and we encourage users to get in touch with us if you identify accessibility problems.

Much of the internet remains, and particularly rich social media applications are, not fully accessible to all users. We aim to choose third-party partners and tools with the aim of providing useful information and features, accessible to as many people as possible, and to ensure core content is accessible to all.

If you wish to provide any feedback concerning the accessibility of this site as a whole or would like to know more about how we are working to make the site accessible, pleaseĀ contact us.
